Case against 5 people including former IGP in passport forgery case

ACC has filed a case against 5 people including former IGP Benazir Ahmed on charges of passport renewal and forgery. ACC Deputy Director Hafizul Islam filed the case as plaintiff on Monday (October 14).

Apart from Benazir, the remaining accused are - Abdullah Al Mamun, Director of Dhaka Division of Passport, former Director Fazlul Haque, Munsi Mueed Ikram and Technical Manager Sahena Haque.

Besides acquiring illegal wealth by using his power, this former police officer has committed all kinds of frauds. Despite being a government servant, former IGP Benjir did not have a blue official passport with government servant identity.

Despite having the opportunity, he did not take the 'red passport'. He created a normal passport as a private employee.

Once this irregularity is detected during passport renewal, the passport department stops it. The letter was given to the RAB headquarters. But under the influence Benjir managed everything.
